Ferrari 275GTB through the streets of Paris

On an August morning in 1978, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive him at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris. The film was limited for technical reasons to 10 minutes; the course was from Porte Dauphine, through the Louvre, to the Basilica of Sacre Coeur.

No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit.

The driver completed the course in about 9 minutes, reaching nearly 140 MPH in some stretches. The footage reveals him running real red lights, nearly hitting real pedestrians, and driving the wrong way up real one-way streets.

Pope Benedict and Emperor Palpatine the same guy?

This picture of Pope Benedict at this years midnight mass make me think of Emperor Palpatine, and I can actually picture him saying "Riiiiiiiiiiiiise Lord Vader".

Heres the picture to show you what I mean, plus a pic of Palpatine for comparison.

i'm also aware this is an old joke, but I still found the similarities incredibly striking. Also, I'd like to apologise in advance for any offence this post may cause.

How to get Police attention...

Image was taken down so, heres what it said:

"Going to be the other night, I noticed people in my shed stealing things.

I phoned the police but was told no one was in the area to help. They said they would send someone as soon as possible.

I hung up. A minute later I rang again. "Hello," I said, I called you a minute ago because there were people in my shed. You don't have to hurry now, because I've shot them."

Within minutes there were half a dozen police cars in the area, plus helicopters and an armed response unit. They caught the burglars red-handed.

One of the officers said: "I thought you said you'd shot them."

To which I replied: "I thought you said there was no one available."

TONY GLADSTONE"

I love things like this, although I'm not sure if this is fake or not...

I would also say "only in America!" but the website url is an Australian website, so maybe not. Over here, they wouldn't even turn up if you could prove that you were holding them hostage by gunpoint, the police would be too fucking busy parked up on double yellow lines while they stuffed their faces in McDonalds.

Amazing machine

I randomly found this on a french site called Daily Motion, it shows a machine playing a cracking little tune. I assumeit works on great timing and some sort of wind power to shoot little balls out of the holes for them to strike whatever it is that creates each noise. Anyway, enougb of my waffling, heres the vid.

Reminds me a bit of this Honda Advert:

Just goes to show, even engineering is an art form!
